The DIVA was designated as a designated donation group by the Minister of Strategy and Finance on December 31, because the social welfare activities of the community were highly appreciated. As a result, donors to DIVA will receive donation deductions, inheritance tax, and donation tax.

The Ministry of Strategy and Finance evaluates the public benefits of nonprofit corporations registered with each department and selects designated donation groups at the end of each quarter. A total of 170 organizations (as of the third quarter of 2013) were designated as designated donation groups .
