On May 13, ceremony was held in commemoration of completion of Binh Yen Primary School building constructed with sponsorship of Daejin International Volunteers Association in Thai Nguyen Province, Vietnam.

The ceremony was attended by many participants such as advisors from Daejin Foundation, diplomatic officials, educators, the investment-planning bureau of Thai Nguyen Province, heads of various departments from the governmental offices of Binh Yen Commune, the head of People's Committee of Thai Nguyen Province, members from the Korea-Vietnam Friendship Association, school employees who work at Binh Yen Primary School, students and their parents, and local residents.

Yoon Eun-do, President of Daejin Foundation, said in his congratulatory speech, “Just as the UN has set a goal of ensuring quality education for all human beings, we believe that adolescents have a right to education as well. Starting with Binh Yen Primary School, we promise to keep doing our best to create a high quality educational environment for Vietnamese teenagers.

At the ceremony, DIVA provided scholarships, computers, and school supplies to local students. This was followed by the reading of thank you remarks by a local student. Afterwards, there was a ribbon-cutting and signboard ceremony. The construction of Binhyen Primary School fully sponsored by DIVA as part of its educational-environment improvement project, which began on Oct. 10, 2018 and was completed on May 13, 2019. The total cost of construction was $355,000 (420 million South Korean Won). In addition to a two-story building consisting of 10 classrooms, facilities built with students' safety and convenience in mind such as bathrooms, security rooms, stone walls, drinking fountains and a concrete access road to the main entrance, were also constructed. The newly built Binh Yen Primary School will facilitate the commute of some 300 local students who had previously commuted from excessively long distances.
